Bright Colors, Retro Bathrooms From Mius Art Mosaic
Aug 24, 2015
Love them or hate them, the brightly colored bathrooms of your youth are coming back. Although the standard bathroom mosaic tiles are still blue, while and beige, increasingly people are selecting for more intense color choices. Hot pink or avocado green are two examples of such colors. Is a retro bathroom right for you?
Choosing brightly colored tiles and going for a retro look has serious rewards and risks. Brightly colored bathrooms will be polarizing, but if you like the style, it should be okay in the home. It may even affect the home value, albeit slightly, if someone loves or hates the bathroom. The quality of the tiles and their condition will have a stronger effect on value than color, however.
Using a strong, boldcolor of bathroom mosaic tiles will make your bathroom unique. Although the trend is coming back, not that many people can say their bathroom is orange or indigo. If you want to lighten the intense color, choose generically colored accessories. Light colored towels, rugs, and curtains can do a lot to soften the room up. You can also keep one wall (or the floor) in a traditional off-white color and tile the rest of the bathroom with a color of your choosing.
