Varieties Of Glass Tiles

There are several different types of glass tiles from which to choose, and an almost endless variety of colors, including those which are pearlescent or simply bold and beautiful. Two of the most common types of glass tiles include those which are opaque  recycled glass mosaic, and those which are clear crystal glass mosaic, and allow you to see clear through the tile to the decoratively colored background. These clear tiles are exceptionally luminous and shiny, but care must be taken to properly prepare the surface before applying them. This is because wall imperfections and variations in color could possibly show through the colored background of the tile and mar the finished surface. Opaque tiles are often considered to be easier to install because of this reason. There are also variations of specialty glass tiles available, such as tiles that have crystal-like finishes and those with bubbles incorporated into the glass during the manufacturing process, thereby giving them an interesting visual texture.
