Kitchen Flooring

Glass tile makes a beautiful flooring material for a kitchen. It is available in a wide variety of styles, and is strong and waterproof. Tiles used for your kitchen floor should be designed specifically for floors. Glass flooring tiles have the added benefit of a slip-resistant finish, which will make the floor less slippery, especially if it gets damp. Of course, any type of floor surface can be slippery when it gets wet, so caution should still be exercised. When selecting flooring tiles, keep in mind that while larger tiles are often easier to install, smaller tiles often stand up very well to the abuse of being walked on. This is because any scratches or nicks that do occur are generally less visible on a small tile. Make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions when installing floor tile to insure a good finished product.
