Testing whether a mortar as neutral is the fastest method, take a small amount of clay in the Cup, add water, fully stirred evenly, and PH test strips into the clay in 1--2 seconds, remove. Color of the observed PH test strips change color. and paper color control, at 7 per cent of the corresponding color (typically green), which is neutral.
